Post subject:  the crown was stripped by the system

What do i do if my overflow is leaking?
Water dripping from a pipe in the wall or under the eaves is probably coming from a w.c. overflow. If you can safely get access to the tank or cistern Dodgers Clayton Kershaw Jersey , lift the lid and check the condition of the ball valve. When the water in the tank is high enough, the ball float should rise, lifting the arm enough to close a valve and stop more water coming in. If the float has sunk in the water, it might have a leak in it. If this is the case you can rest a piece of wood across the top of the tank to hold the ball out of the water. Make a hole to let out any water and seal a plastic bag over the ball to stop it filling up again. Floats can usually be screwed off the valve arm.

However, if the ball is floating properly, then check to see if there is an adjustment screw that allows you to set the ball lower and stop the water coming up as high. (2cms or an inch below the overflow outlet level is about right.)
In older systems with a metal arm on the ball valve Dodgers Justin Turner Jersey , you may be able to bend the arm holding the ball. Be careful not to break it.

How to deal with a leak from the property above
Try to make sure you have contact details of flats above and below your flat and to give your details to your neighbours for use in an emergency.

In the event of a leak contact your neighbour. If they are not in leave a note. If the flat above has an individual water stopcock and your neighbour is not in you could turn this off
.
What if i find damp patches?
Try to find the source of the leak first. It may be coming from leaking gutters, slipped slates, pinhole leaks in a pipe or a broken appliance. Whatever the cause, get it fixed first and the make sure everything is well dried out. (See Burst Pipes and Gutters and Downpipes elsewhere in this leaflet.)
Your plasterwork may still be damaged even after the dampness has dried out so you should seal it before repainting. You can often just use ordinary gloss paint.

BEIJING, May 26 (Xinhua) -- After reigning world champion HouYifan announced her protest against World Chess Federation (FIDE),Chinese Chess Association said on Thursday it "respects" Hou'sright.

"We totally respect Hou' s reasonable right as a chess player,"said Ye Jiangchuan, the Secretary-General of Chinese ChessAssociation (CCA).

CCA also proposed three suggestions in its letter to FIDE thismonth: first, change Women's World Chess Championship to World Cup;second, the champion of World Cup will be the challenger who willchallenge the reigning world champion. Then (third), the winnerwill be the new world champion.

Hou dropped out of the curent Women's World Championship cycleright after she claimed her fourth world champion.

She threw away the crown. The one that marks her name in historyas the youngest Women's World Champion at sixteen in 2010.

"I didn' t think this (format) was actually reasonable (atfirst), but it was the only option I had. Now the situation isdifferent." Hou explained her reasons in a Chessbase interview.

Hou mainly objected to the format wherein the Women's WorldChampion is decided alternately by a knockout tournament and then amatch each year.

"The general point is that the overall system is not logical:the winner of the knockout tournament will be called 'WorldChampion' and the previous World Champion loses her title. "

To Hou and other former world champion like Russian GM AlexandraKosteniuk, the crown was stripped by the system, not the opponentthat sit on the other side of the table.

"After winning those matches (since 2010), and with FIDE stillrejecting all my proposals, I did not see any point to continueplaying in an illogical and unfair system."

She also expressed her willingness to participate in the cycleif the format were amended to miraror that of the Men' s WorldChess Championship: qualification tournaments, a Candidatestournament, and the winner plays the reigning World Champion.

According to Hou, if FIDE believed it was too complicated or toodifficult to find sponsors, she has a very simple solution: keepthe current system, exactly as it is, or even extend it, as in themen' s Grand Prix, so that more women players can participate. Butthere should be one important difference: the lucky winner, at theend.
